A simple technique to INITIATE CHANGE
Dearest Darling Friends,
Is change easy or difficult?
When does change happen?
Is change a simple process or a complicated process?
Can some people change and most cannot?
Is there any talent required to change?
There is a saying, you cannot teach an old dog new tricks. If I (the dog) have a habit formed over many years, can I still change?
There have been 1000s of books and research papers written on change and change management. I have read a few of them. However, nothing captured the essence of ‘change’ more than this simple sketch. It has changed my life.
Three simple things. When these three simple things are clear to me…ideas, insights, breakthroughs will happen. They will happen sooner or later. They will involve iterations and improvements but you will reach the goal of ‘Desired self’.
I did this exercise in 5 aspects of life. Let me share one aspect with you.
a) How happy am I with the way I am physically fit? ”
Rate myself on a scale of 0 to 10. I rated myself 6.
How I want things to be? Answer – 9.
What should I do to make this change?
1. Reduce sugar (I did).
2. Exercise 10 more minutes (I did)
In less than a weeks time, I am more energetic, I am more focussed, and most surprisingly, I am having more free time on my hands. It WORKS!
